Current Call for Papers

Theme: Cloud Computing - Current State and Future Issues

Since the introduction of email, web pages and electronic commerce, the Internet has served as a communication channel and a media sharing platform, and is now developing into an environment of scalable on-demand applications and services. The pace of developments in cloud technologies and associated business continues to be imposing. The Cloud paradigm is and will change the way we utilize software. Transformation of the ICT industry will provide new opportunities for companies embracing the change. Availability of devices and tools to access software based services in the cloud has increased substantially, several cloud services have been introduced and service-ecosystems have emerged. Next we are likely to see a multitude of new cloud applications and providers, and wide-scale adoption of tools and applications. The scope of applications will be expanded and providers specialize to magnitude of domains. Scalable cloud infrastructure, ecosystem innovations, role of small software providers, lean and agile service creation, and alignment of value creating networks will all have their impact on the developments and cloud adoption. In conclusion, there are lessons learned from the early developments, but still many research challenges around the cloud technologies, associated development methods and emerging cloud business.
